This site is operated by Simone Ungaro ("we", "us"), which runs the TheMossChecker MOSS compliance service for the Rainbow Six competitions it administers. These terms are the agreement between you and us for your use of the site and of your account.
If you do not agree with them, do not create an account and do not upload anything. You can always read them, and the Privacy notice, before signing in.
Players in our competitions are required by the competition rules to record their matches with MOSS, an anti-cheat recorder, and to hand in the file it produces. This site is where that file is handed in, checked and reviewed, and where standings and compliance are shown to league staff and to team managers.
You must be at least 16 years old to hold an account. If you are under 16, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf and tell us so through the contact form before you use the service.
An account is personal to you. Do not let anybody else sign in as you, and do not sign in as anybody else — including a team-mate whose file you are helping to upload.
Accounts are created by signing in with Discord, or by a league administrator. Keeping your Discord account secure is your responsibility, because it is the key to this one. Two-factor authentication and passkeys are available in your account settings, and we recommend both.
When you are asked for a MOSS file you must run MOSS for the whole of the match it covers and upload the file it produced, exactly as it produced it. Editing, re-packing, truncating or otherwise altering an archive is treated as a failed submission, and so is handing in somebody else's.
Every archive is screened automatically. Those checks look for the things the competition rules care about — a broken or incomplete recording, remote-control software, a virtual machine, injected code, known cheat tools, macro hardware, implausible inputs. A check that raises a flag is not a verdict and is never treated as one: a person from league staff reviews the file and decides what, if anything, follows.
Cheating, tampering with a recording, refusing a file you owe, or having somebody else play or record for you can cost you the match, the competition, or your place in future ones, under the competition rules that apply to the event you entered. Decisions of that kind are made by people, not by this software.
If you think a decision about you is wrong, say so through the contact form. We will look at it again and answer you.
Do not try to reach data that is not yours, interfere with how the site works, scrape it at volume, or upload anything harmful. Do not use what you can see here — another player's files, screenshots or results — for anything other than the competition business you were given access for.
We run this service for the competitions we administer and do our best to keep it up, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of faults, and we may change or withdraw parts of it. Where a deadline depends on the site being reachable, tell us through the contact form if it was not.
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable loss arising from your use of it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any statutory rights you have as a consumer.
What we collect, why, who sees it and how long we keep it is in the Privacy notice. It is information, not something you sign: your rights over your data do not depend on these terms and are not given up by accepting them.
When we change them in a way that matters, we publish a new version and ask you to read and accept it the next time you sign in. Until you do, you cannot use the signed-in parts of the site — and if you would rather not accept, you can simply stop using the service and ask us to delete your account.
You can ask us to close your account at any time through the contact form. We may suspend or close an account that seriously breaches these terms or the competition rules. Some records of a completed competition — results, and evidence behind a sanction — are kept afterwards for the periods and reasons set out in the Privacy notice.
These terms are governed by the law of Italian , and its courts settle any dispute — without taking away the right you may have as a consumer to bring a claim where you live.
